The parking lot for the main Verkatehdas building has 8 parking spaces reserved for disabled guests. Hämeenlinna Theatre also has designated parking spaces for disabled persons. These parking spaces are marked on the Area map.

Several free short-term (max. 10 min) parking spaces have been reserved in front of the main Verkatehdas building for quick errands or for dropping off or picking up an individual at Verkatehdas.

The main entrance to Verkatehdas is located on the first floor of the building, on the side facing Lake Vanajavesi. The main entrance doors are automatic and the entryway is accessible for all guests.

The entrance on the Verkatehtaankuja lane side is also accessible for all guests. The accessible entryway is through the automatic doors of the Opistotalo building. An elevator to the first floor of the main building is located by the doors beside Kehräämö conference room.

The cafe’s own entrance is not accessible, but accessible entry to the cafe can be gained either through the main entrance of the building or through the entrance to the BioRex Cinema.

The majority of Verkatehdas’ facilities are accessible during events. The event venues on the second floor can be accessed using the lift located beside the info desk. An elevator located close to the cloakroom provides accessible entry to the Kehräämö conference room.

Vanaja Hall has a limited number of accessible wheelchair spaces. Please inform us of the need for wheelchair access already when booking tickets.

There are no steps for rows 1–7 in the lower stall area of Vanaja Hall. The lower stall can be accessed through door A, which is found in the Glass Atrium on the first floor of the main building. Row 22 of Vanaja Hall also has no steps. Row 22 can be accessed from doors B and C on the second floor of the main building, which can be reached via an accessible elevator.

The third floor balcony and foyer are not accessible during events.

Verkatehdas’ accessible toilet facilities are found on the first floor.

An assistant or support person for a disabled individual who has an EU Disability Card that is marked with the letter A will generally be allowed entry to events free of charge. The practices depend on each event organiser, so exceptions are possible. Be prepared to present the EU Disability Card in connection with the ticket check.

An induction loop system is in use in rows 5–15 of Vanaja Hall, in Conference room 1 and in the Green Screen Studio. Check out the induction loop zones here.
